UPCOMING EVENTS

Greetings,

This week we reflect on another successful Steve Hirsch Gutter Bowl -- a great evening during which we celebrated a close friend, a great person, and a great cause. If you were unable to join us, you can still give to the Steven A. Hirsch Scholarship Fund.

In this Letter of the Law you will see the continued opportunity to engage leading thinkers, and see news from local and national sources that speaks to our innovation, our affordability, and our standout faculty.

Until the footnotes,

Marc

Gutter Bowl Smashes Records

Arizona Law's 11th Gutter Bowl was held last night in Scottsdale, smashing all known records for the greatest number of gutter balls in a single evening and the greatest amount of fun on a Tuesday night this calendar year.

In 2017, the event was renamed the Steve Hirsch Gutter Bowl in honor of our alumnus and frequent emcee, and proceeds go to a scholarship fund in his name.

With Cher Hirsch at the 2018 Steve Hirsch Gutter Bowl

At this year's Gutter Bowl we made two announcements: First, the Steven A. Hirsch Scholarship has now surpassed the level at which it becomes an active scholarship fund. With additional donations and the proceeds from the Gutter Bowl, the fund will continue to grow.

Second, we recognized a donation by Vicki Fleischer that will allow us to award the scholarship in the coming academic year without needing to wait for interest to accrue. Thank you, Vicki!

Thank you to everyone who helped make possible this honor for Steve, and this level of support for our students -- and let's keep going!

Our fantastic Gutter Bowl emcees were Coree Neumeyer ('07) and Brad Vynalek ('99).

So much love. Steve Hirsch embodied everything good about our profession and our community. We miss him. The Steve Hirsch Gutter Bowl and the Steven A. Hirsch Scholarship let us share good times, celebrate a dear friend, and support our students as they make their way into the profession.

Thank you to the many people who came together last night in Scottsdale. Thank you to Coree and Brad for hosting. And thank you Cher Hirsch for sustaining our connection to you and Steve.

Warmly,
